  • For entities structured as Section 8 companies, the engagement covered statutory audit and relevant ROC/MCA compliance coordination. For trusts and charitable institutions, work included audit and compliance requirements relating to the Charity Commissioner and Income Tax provisions, as applicable.
  • The engagement helped management maintain appropriate financial records, strengthen compliance discipline and meet annual statutory and regulatory obligations.

2. Manufacturing Units — Statutory Audit, Tax Audit & Interest Subsidy

  • Assisted manufacturing businesses with statutory audits and tax audits, including review of financial statements, accounting records, taxation matters and supporting documentation.
  • Also supported eligible manufacturing units with interest-subsidy related work, including review and preparation of financial information, certifications and documentation required under applicable incentive schemes.
  • This provided clients with a coordinated approach covering audit, taxation, compliance and government incentive requirements.

3. Cross-Border Transactions — Tax-Efficient & Compliant Structuring

  • Advised businesses undertaking cross-border transactions on legitimate tax-efficient structures while maintaining the principle of tax efficiency, not tax evasion.
  • Engagements included evaluation of international transactions, foreign entities/subsidiaries and potential tax exposure using concepts such as Permanent Establishment (PE) and Place of Effective Management (POEM), along with transfer-pricing and related considerations where applicable.
  • The objective was to identify potential tax and compliance risks before transactions were implemented and help clients establish structures with appropriate commercial substance, documentation and regulatory compliance.
